When we talk about the percentage of CBD, the figure refers to the actual amount of active CBD present, in any particular product, for example, our 10ml 5% CBD oil contains 500mg of CBD. All of our sprays and oils are produced in 10ml, as this makes it clearer for the consumer to understand what they are actually purchasing. Having them all measured at 10ml, means all you would have to do is divide the Milligram content by 100, or simply remove the last two digits to find the percentage. Another example would be our 1000mg oil, which is still sold in a 10ml bottle, however, another company may be selling their 1000mg oil in a 30ml bottle, making the consumer think they are getting a better deal. The two bottles have the same amount of CBD, yet the 30ml is three times weaker than our 10ml bottle, meaning effectively you would need to consume three times the amount to feel the same effect. The 30ml bottle would also be labelled as 3.33%, opposed to our 10%.

Going back to our first example, the 500mg, 5% oil, if you take an average daily dose of 3-4 drops, three times a day, would mean consuming approximately 22.5mg – 30mg of CBD. Where all that CBD goes, is all down to the bioavailability, which is where we come in with our Nano Mist, however, back to the oils!

To give you some idea of the limitations, 160mg per day is seen as a recommended maximum amount for use, as a supplement. This is why we recommend starting with our 5% oil (or spray), as this represents the middle-ground between the strong and weaker concentrations. Even at four drops, three hues a day, you would still only be consuming 30mg of CBD. Don’t underestimate this therapeutic compound though, as for some, this may be enough. It is important to stress that everyone’s circumstances, and therefore dosage, will be different. Give yourself 2-3 weeks on a regular dosage to see how you feel, before increasing or decreasing the amount of CBD, as necessary.
